Oxfordshire Netball Clubs have all been playing their part to fundraise for a six court floodlit netball centre, which is essential for the development of Netball within Oxfordshire. The facility will allow Oxfordshire Netball to increase participation with more senior and junior players, we well as additional development such as disability netball and corporate netball. We can also host tournament events locally, and the courts provide essential opportunities to develop our Umpire and Coaching networks for developing skills and mentouring new umpires. The Netball Centre is being built as part of the Community Arena project at Court Place Farm, just off the A40 at Marston.
A massive congratulations to all the netballers who have been busy fundraising in their clubs, to help us reach the £36,000 target! Highlights have been a calendar, mixed netball tournaments, quiz nights and disco’s, all raising funds for the Netball Centre, which we hope will be completed ready for the 2011 Winter Season.
