It may not be very pleasant but all matches will be played this evening. If you are playing, bring a change of kit for afterwards. If you are duty team or spectator, bring waterproofs!
The playing surface is better when it’s properly wet than when it’s just damp. Good luck!
Note : half time at all matches has been reduced to 3 minutes

Hurrah! netball is being played this week!
But please be aware that there are road works with traffic lights at the bottom of Headley Way, which are causing queuing traffic along Marsh Lane, past the Community Arena and over the bridge above the Ring Road. This evening we had to wait for several cars for the 7.00 games. Traffic had cleared by the 8.30 games.

Oxfordshire netballers have been playing at the Community Arena since 9th January on six wonderful floodlit netball courts. The junior teams are due to have their first matches at the site this weekend, but some lucky youngsters from Kidlington Netball Club, St Andrews Primary School, The Manor Prep School & King Alfreds got to play on the courts on Wednesday afternoon at the opening of the Arena. Sue Blackshaw gave a speech as well as Brian Cox from Oxford City Football Club, and representatives from the Football Foundation & Sport England. Sue congratulated all the volunteers who have played a part in getting the courts up and running over the past six years, and thanked the clubs for their fantastic fundraising efforts.
Thanks to Rachel Bussey, Tess Horn, Lesley Williams, Rhonda Forbes-Smith & Jenny Towe for organising the activities for the youngsters. Lil Roe ran a successful Back 2 Netball session at the event.

The charity have lots of kit, but are short of bibs. If your club has unwanted netball bibs, please get in touch with Clare via ondbsecretary@gmail.com. Their website is www.missiondirect.org
